PEDALO: Cycling dreams come true
Pedalo-Radreisefreunde GmbH was formed in 2024 from the merger of two established Upper Austrian tour operators: PEDALO Touristik GmbH (founded in 1993) and Radreisefreunde GmbH (founded in 2012).
Based in idyllic Engelhartszell, directly on the Danube cycle path, the newly expanded company combines a passion for outdoor activities with expertise in handling all sorts of tour groups – small and large, national and international.
An uncompromising focus on quality, constantly raising the bar and striving to meet all the needs of our customers have always been and continue to be fundamental elements of PEDALO’s corporate philosophy.

PEDALO sells cycling holidays, sports and racing bike tours, bike & boat tours as well as group tours in almost all of Europe. Our tours are focussed on the following regions:

Hubert Simader
Management
Hubert Simader, former managing director of Radreisefreunde GmbH, is responsible for product development and organisation at PEDALO. His motto “Nothing is impossible” applies to both “off-the-peg” holidays and tailor-made products.
Laurenz Stritzinger
Management
As co-founder of Pedalo Touristik GmbH, Laurenz Stritzinger has over three decades of experience in fulfilling customer wishes. As the creative head of Pedalo-Radreisefreunde GmbH, his responsibilities include marketing.
